Role Overview
We’re looking for a 3D Generalist to bring the characters, environments and objects in our games to life. You’ll work across modeling, materials, rigging and animation, taking assets from an early concept to a polished result inside the game.
We work as a lean, collaborative studio with AI at the center of our evolving workflows. This role needs both artistic judgment and technical ownership: knowing how to create, refine and deliver assets that look right and work reliably in a real-time game.
Responsibilities
- Create game-ready characters, environments, props and other 3D assets that fit each game’s visual direction.
- Handle modeling, topology, UVs, texturing and materials, balancing visual quality with mobile performance.
- Build and maintain rigs, skin assets and resolve deformation issues for characters and animated objects.
- Create, edit and polish animation, including character motion, gameplay actions and environmental interactions.
- Prepare and integrate assets in Unity, validating scale, pivots, materials, rigs and animation behavior in context.
- Optimize geometry, textures and animation assets, working with developers to meet the game’s performance needs.
- Use AI-assisted workflows for exploration and production where useful, then refine and validate the results for the game’s style and technical requirements.
- Collaborate with designers and developers on readability, game feel and how visual assets support gameplay.
- Keep source files, exports and shared asset libraries organized, and document reusable production workflows.
Requirements
- A portfolio demonstrating strong 3D fundamentals and assets built for real-time games.
- Strong proficiency in a professional 3D package such as Blender, Maya or 3ds Max, and confidence working across modeling, UVs and materials.
- Practical command of rigging, skinning, deformation and animation, with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
- An understanding of game development and the complete asset pipeline, from source files and export settings to in-engine integration and iteration.
- Experience working with Unity or a comparable real-time engine, and familiarity with the constraints of mobile games.
- An AI-first working mindset and hands-on experience using AI tools in visual or 3D production workflows.
- The ability to evaluate, clean up and adapt AI-assisted output, taking responsibility for consistency, topology, deformation and game readiness.
- Careful handling of studio assets and private material when using AI tools, with attention to tool usage rights and asset provenance.
- Strong visual judgment, attention to detail and the ability to collaborate, receive feedback and take work through to completion.
Nice to Have
- Experience with stylized casual or puzzle games and expressive character work.
- Experience with sculpting and texture tools such as ZBrush or Substance 3D.
- Familiarity with shaders, lighting, VFX or procedural asset workflows.
- Experience creating editor tools, scripts or automation that make art production more effective.
- Experience adapting game assets for marketing visuals, cinematics or other formats.
